The Melting Pot Houston Happy Hour at a glance
If you’re looking for happy hours near you in Houston, The The Melting Pot happy hour has a daily fondue offer. The Houston restaurant lists half-price cheese and chocolate fondue, along with drink discounts. Happy Hour is served only in the bar area, and its hours change by day. This is a useful deal for sharing a small fondue course, but it is not a general discount for the full dining-room menu.
| Day | Houston Happy Hour |
| Sunday | 4 p.m. to close |
| Monday–Thursday | 4:30–6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to close |
| Friday–Saturday | 4–6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. to close |
| Where | Bar area only |
| Holiday / combining offers | Not available on holidays; cannot combine with other offers |
“Close” follows the restaurant’s local seating schedule, so the late window is not the same every night. On Sunday, for example, listed seating runs noon–9 p.m.; Monday through Thursday it runs 4:30–9:30 p.m. Ask when booking if you plan to arrive for the last hour.
Happy Hour is not a separate early-closing service. Houston’s late window starts at 8:30 p.m. on Monday through Saturday, while Sunday begins at 4 p.m. The posted schedule says “to close,” and the location page describes its listed closing times as final seating times. If you want to settle in for a full fondue meal, call ahead and ask what time you should arrive rather than assuming you can walk in just before the window ends.
What is on The Melting Pot happy hour menu?
The main food feature is half off cheese and chocolate fondue. For drinks, the Houston offer says cocktails start at $7. It also lists $5 off Best in Glass cocktails, $2 off wine by the glass and beer, and $10 off wine by the bottle. The restaurant says these discounts are based on menu prices.
The regular Houston menu lists cheese fondue at $26 for a small serving that feeds up to two, with $13 per additional person. Small chocolate fondue is also $26 for up to two, with $13 for each additional person. Since Happy Hour is half off, the small serving works out to $13 before tax and tip. The same item and base size are compared below.
Food price comparison
| Fondue | Regular Houston menu price | Happy Hour price | Price difference | Size / note |
| Cheese fondue, small | $26 | $13 | $13 off | Serves up to 2; additional person $13 regular menu price |
| Chocolate fondue, small | $26 | $13 | $13 off | Serves up to 2; additional person $13 regular menu price |
The fondue styles vary. The regular menu includes choices such as Wisconsin Cheddar, Classic Alpine, Spinach Artichoke, and French Onion Gruyère. The chocolate list includes The Original, Yin & Yang, Pure Chocolate, Flaming Turtle, and Bananas Foster. Check which varieties are available during Happy Hour before ordering. The offer does not mean every dish on the dinner menu is half price.
The small cheese and chocolate fondue servings are each priced for up to two people on the regular menu. That makes them an easy option to share, but it does not include the restaurant’s full four-course dinner. If you are comparing costs for a date or a group, decide whether you want a fondue snack and drink or a longer meal with salad and entrée. The seasonal three-course offer is a separate option and has a two-person minimum.

Drink price comparison
| Best in Glass cocktail | Regular Houston menu price | Happy Hour price | Savings | Note |
| Mint To Be Mojito | $13 | $8 | $5 | $5 off Best in Glass cocktails |
| Classic Margarita | $15 | $10 | $5 | $5 off Best in Glass cocktails |
These two drinks appear in Houston’s Best in Glass section, and the local Happy Hour event states the $5 discount. The same listed cocktails are compared at the menu price. The separate “cocktails starting at $7” line may cover other selections; it is not the calculated price for every cocktail

Other Houston Melting Pot deals and specials
The Houston page also lists its seasonal “Fondue into Fall” menu through November 22, 2026. It offers three courses for $29 per person, including cheese fondue, salad, and chocolate fondue. A four-course version is $49 per person and includes entrée fondue. At least two guests must order the three- or four-course experience. The current fall dishes include Cranberry Pecan Cheese Fondue, Apple Almond Salad, and Pumpkin Spice White Chocolate Fondue. This is a seasonal set menu, not a coupon and not the same as Happy Hour.
Another local offer is Thursdate®. Mention it when you reserve on Thursday. With any four-course dinner for two at menu price, the Houston restaurant offers a complimentary Touch of Romance: a rose, rose petals, and a candlelit table. The page says the add-on is normally $15 and may not be available during special events or holidays.

What about coupons, military discounts, and gift cards?
The Melting Pot does not publish one coupon code that works at every restaurant. Its FAQ says locations set their own promotions and points guests to the local Events page. Club Fondue is an email program for offers and birthday vouchers. Read each voucher’s rules; offers may not combine.
Houston’s official events page does not list a military discount in the offers reviewed for this post. That does not prove no manager-approved discount is ever available, so call the Houston restaurant and ask before you go. The Portland location separately advertises 10% off the meal for military personnel, firefighters, EMTs, and police with ID, plus half-price bottles of wine under $100 Monday through Thursday. Those are Portland-only offers, not Houston coupons.
The Melting Pot sells physical and electronic gift cards. Its FAQ says gift cards do not expire and can be used for food and drinks in a restaurant. A gift card is a payment method, not a discount coupon.
Lunch, Magical Dining, and location questions.
“Magical Dining” is not a Houston Melting Pot promotion. Visit Orlando describes it as an Orlando-area dining program and says it returns in August 2027. If you are planning a Houston visit, use the Houston Events page instead.
The Melting Pot has separate location pages and menus. Portland’s menu is not the Houston menu, and its event offers differ too. For a restaurant near you now, use the official locator, select your city, then check that branch’s Events and Menu pages. This is the safest way to confirm hours, prices, holiday exceptions, reservations, and local coupons.
Reservations are available online or by calling a location. The chain says walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended for the main dining room. That matters for a fondue restaurant because the experience is built around a table and cooktop, not a fast bar order. If you are specifically going for Houston Happy Hour, ask to be seated in the bar area and confirm the offer is running on your date.
